Presidency Message

Greetings from the CIOR President

Dear reserve officers and friends of CIOR. It is a great privilege on behalf of the Norwegian Presidency to take the helm of this successful and long standing organisation. For more than 60 years CIOR has worked relentlessly to support the alliance and to further the reservist cause.

I would like to thank the Dutch Presidency for their leadership that has contributed significantly to the modernisation of the organisation. The new web site and revision of our articles of association and by- laws represent an excellent platform for further development.

During the Norwegian Presidency we will actively seek to:

a) Support NATO as an advisor and centre of excellence on reserve matters   

b) Support NATO in our roles as citizens

c) Work with NATO on Partnership for Peace and Outreach activities

d) Strengthen CIOR’s capabilities as an organisation for the enhancement of personal, organisational and leadership skills among reserve officers

e) Further develop CIOR’s portfolio of activities and offerings to meet the criteria and wishes of our member organisations and other stake-holders

f) Continuously improve our organisational efficiency in terms of quality, speed and cost.

We are looking forward to co-operating with you all to achieve our common goals.
